Lookback

March 26th, 2008 by Hasin Hayder

Well, a community site never created in a day or week or in a month. I still remember those numbers of sleepless nights that Emran and I spent to create Somewherein Blog. You cannot create a community site just with your extreme skill in development, it requires passion, it requires love and it requires you to be able to dream. After dreaming for thousand days, spending sleepless nights, and by taking the time which was deserved  for your family members  a community is born.

I remember how we have started gopsop. Just to develop this site, I coded Orchid, my framework for PHP5 developers for last 7 months. This framework is designed to be used as the core framework of gopsop - a stunning community site. I let my son Afif miss his papa, spent hours after hours while my wife and my son deserved that time from me.  Omi, my friend, together we have spent many evenings planning this site. A lot of friend and well wishers helped us to debug, to add feature and to make it finally happen.

I am grateful to my partners in GopSop Omi Azad,  Sonny Aman and Anupom Syam for spending their time with me and for sharing the pain together.

Thanks again to all of you, the well wishers and users of gopsop.
